About Norma Robinson Smith

Norma Robinson Smith is an 89 year old art enthusiast who has dedicated most of her life to the visual arts, music and dance. Norma has been painting in various media since 1949, having produced more than  1,000 works of art.  She was an accomplished musician and dancer during her more active years. For years, she played the viola in string trios and quartets, and professionally for a time with an orchestra.

She was also an accomplished pianist.   And she performed ethnic dance  before various community groups.  She was married for almost 50 years to her soul mate and husband Philip Smith, who was a professional musician, music teacher, and composer.

The life and art of Norma Robinson Smith serves as an exemplary hallmark to the prolific artistic potential which thrives within the artist at any age. She is a tribute to individual effort and the struggle of the artists of the world. Norma Robinson Smith is irrefutable evidence of the benefits of freedom of expression and a person dedicated to the art she cherished so much.

This site is dedicated to her paintings and sketches which have earned her the Salute America Lifetime Achievement Award for Visual Arts. Norma Robinson Smith has created thousands of art works. This site can only provide a representative sample of her works.

Norma's lifetime dedication to the arts for arts sake and the shear joy of creativity has inspired an internet radio show  titled "The Norma Robinson Smith Hour for the Arts and Senior Issues."
