The Salute Los Angeles
Commemorative Magazine will be distributed at and
before the Salute to Los Angeles on July 4th, 2006
in downtown Los Angeles.
In
addition, we will provides 170 copies of the magazine to the
Los Angeles Library system for historical preservation and
distribution to all libraries in L.A.The
magazine will provide the
opportunity for all to pay tribute to Los Angeles.
This magazine and
the event provides the opportunity for all to be a part of the
“echoes” of Los Angeles history and pay tribute to over 159 years of tradition. July
4th, 2006 is about Los Angeles pride and unity. Please
join us.

The
Salute Los Angeles
Commemorative Magazine
will be on all glossy paper and will have the look and feel of
a magazine. This commemorative magazine will devote
several sections to the history of Los Angeles commencing with
its first Independence Day Celebration on July 4th, 1847 and
coming forward to the present day with
Mayor
Antonio R. Villaraigosa's
"Dream with me" inaugural speech.
The event is
a fun learning experience for the entire family. Set in
historic downtown Los Angeles, the event is one to remember with
authentic 1847-period costumes, real cannons, muskets, and accurate
historic re-enactments. It is an event for Los Angeles pride and unity. Cannon
and musket fire, historical re-enactments, tributes to Los Angeles
and to its people, children’s activities, live entertainment, and much more. A
